Made by hand. One at a time.
Most things in your home were made by a machine, in a factory you'll never see.
These weren't.
I sculpt each design in my studio and finish every artwork individually by hand, painting, detailing and assembling each piece before mounting it into its frame.
That's why no two are ever completely identical.
Made slowly. Made properly. Made to keep.
It's funny what you remember.
A birthday party covered in hundreds and thousands.
Stopping at the corner shop after school.
The biscuit that was always on the plate.
The treat you picked because you had a few dollars in your pocket.
They're ordinary little things.
But somehow, years later, they can take you straight back to a particular place, person or moment.
Australian Classics is my way of turning those memories into something worth keeping.
This is where the collection becomes more than four novelty food objects.
